Alternative Premier League table after 21 games, based on expected goals

Another round of Premier League results are in the books and the fight for the title has taken another turn.

Manchester City inflicted a 2-1 defeat on Liverpool which ended the Reds’ unbeaten run and trimmed their lead at the top of the table to just four points.

And Tottenham Hotspur are hot on their heels after a straight forward 3-0 victory over Cardiff City on New Year’s Day.

Elsewhere, Arsenal and Manchester United kept up their battle with Chelsea for fourth place with victories, while the Blues drew with Southampton.

Meanwhile, at the bottom of the pile, Burnley improved their chances of survival by beating Huddersfield Town who are four points adrift at the foot of the standings.
