Harry Kane is now the joint fourth highest Tottenham Hotspur goalscorer in history

Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane’s late appearance against Tranmere confused a lot of people, but he still managed to score in the 7-0 victory.

Putting the striker, Spurs’ star man, on with just 15 minutes to go in a game already won seemed foolish to some – but they underestimate his fondness for goals.

Kane’s strike against Tranmere in the FA Cup third round clash was the 159th of his incredible career with the north London giants.

This number is another huge milestone for the England captain – still on 25 – as it draws him level with legendary Spurs ace Cliff Jones in the all-time goalscoring charts.

Jones, who played for Bill Nicholson’s double winners in 1961, netted 159 times from the left in 378 games, while Kane has done it in 242.

So he’s now joint fourth in the charts but who has he beaten in his young career and who does he still have to usurp? Find out below…
