Liverpool ‘agree deal’ with Bournemouth to send Nathaniel Clyne on loan until end of season
Bournemouth have reportedly agreed a deal with Liverpool to sign Nathaniel Clyne on loan until the end of the season.
The Cherries have been looking for cover at full-back following injuries to Simon Francis and Adam Smith.
Cardiff City had been favourites to take Clyne on loan from Liverpool as the defender had worked with Neil Warnock at Crystal Palace.
The 27-year-old was a regular starter in his first two seasons at Anfield after joining from Southampton in 2015 but Trent Alexander-Arnold emerged as first-choice while he was injured last season.
With Joe Gomez and James Milner both capable of playing right back, Klopp is willing to let Clyne leave this month.
Sky Sports are reporting that a deal has been agreed between Bournemouth and Liverpool for the defender to go on loan for the rest of this season but there has been no official confirmation from either club yet.
