Liverpool stat: FA Cup fixture with Wolves completes extraordinary seven game run
When you’re one of England’s elite clubs you’re used to playing at all times across the week but Liverpool gone further than most this festive period.
As a Champions League side, they have played games on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, while also playing on Saturdays and Sundays in the Premier League at all hours of the day.
But, as noted by Bill Edgar in The Times, Jurgen Klopp’s side will complete an extraordinary feat on Monday night when they take on Wolverhampton Wanderers in the FA Cup third round.
The fixture will mean they have played on all seven days of the week during their last seven matches, which is mighty impressive but must also be a source of frustration for supporters trying to work out when their beloved club are playing.
Luckily for Liverpool fans they now get a return to tradition as their next two fixtures, against Brighton & Hove Albion and Crystal Palace, will be played on Saturdays at 3pm.
