Manchester United news: Everything Sir Alex Ferguson reportedly told Red Devils stars in rousing training ground speech

Sir Alex Ferguson reportedly delivered a powerful speech to Manchester United’s players telling them they will dominate and be successful once again.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the United caretaker manager, invited the legendary Sir Alex to the training ground over the festive period and he offered some words of advice to the playing staff.

According to the Sun, Ferguson told Solskajer’s squad that this group of players have what it takes to make United dominant and successful again.

A club source revealed: “He [Ferguson] said that he believes in them and he wants them to enjoy themselves and to fight hard for each other and leave everything on the pitch.

“He also told them that the club is in good hands and he promised them that it will become bigger and better in the years to come and they will be part of this success. The players believe that there are some good times ahead.”

After 27 years in charge at Old Trafford Ferguson stepped down in 2013, and following his recovery from a brain haemorrhage suffered last May, he has begun regularly attending matches again.

Solskjaer is putting the lessons he learned under the 77-year-old to good use, having overseen five straight wins since replacing Jose Mourinho last month.

Ferguson played a part in Solskjaer’s appointment as he felt the 45-year-old understood the make-up of the club having spent 11 years with United as a player.

The pair shared perhaps the club’s most historic moment when Solskjaer scored the winning goal against Bayern Munich in the 1999 Champions League final to help United complete their historic treble.
