Solskjaer told Man Utd squad why Liverpool won’t win title
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer told his Manchester United players that Liverpool won’t win the Premier League title after their 0-0 draw at Old Trafford on Sunday, according to reports.
Old Trafford bore witness to a tense, interesting but ultimately goalless encounter on Sunday afternoon with the point taking Jurgen Klopp’s men back to the top of the Premier League.
However, The Sun claims that during a post-match talk, Solskjaer gave a ‘damning verdict’ on Liverpool’s chances of ending their long wait to win a league title, naming three weaknesses.
The report claims that Solskjaer said that the Reds can only play on the counter-attack, find it hard to break teams down with a short passing game and lack creativity.
Not only that but he is also understood to have told his squad that he believes Liverpool are not as good as his United side.
A source told The Sun: “Ole was very blunt about Liverpool with his players and clearly believes they do not have enough to beat City to the title.
“He thinks they are very one dimensional, lacking creativity. He certainly has faith that his team are a better outfit.”
