While the heavy discharge from Tungabhadra dam has inundated Hampi, which was the erstwhile capital of medieval empire of Vijayanagar, the swollen Malaprabha, a tributary of the Krishna River, which flows through the state of Karnataka, has marooned the Chalukyan monuments in Pattadaka, reported Deccan Chronicle.
