Kargil War Veteran Mohammed Sanaullah Declared ‘Foreigner’, Family Approaches High Court
He served Indian Army for 30 years and at the age 52-years, he was told that he is ‘foreigner’ and not a citizen of India and therefore had to be detained and sent to detention centre where foreigners and illegal migrants are kept.
Mohammed Sanaullah had never thought he day would come when the tri-colour he served throughout life would be deemed the national flag of a land he doesn’t belong to. The family of the soldier who claimed to have fought in Kargil War approached Gauhati High Court on Wednesday within 24 hours of his detention.
