One Month And 132 Deaths Later, PM Narendra Modi Finally Breaks Silence On Encephalitis Tragedy In Bihar
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has finally broken his silence and spoken on the tragic deaths of over 130 children in Muzzaparpur, Bihar due to Acute Encephalitis Syndrome (AES). His reaction on the tragedy comes almost a month after the news came to the fore. In his reply to the debate on the motion of thanks to the President’s address in Rajya Sabha, PM Modi said, “The deaths in Bihar due to AES are unfortunate and a matter of shame for us. We have to take this seriously”.
