Watch: Kolkata Pandal Creates Spectacular Replica Of Ancient Chittor Palace

It is that time of the year again! Marketplaces, temples and religious shrines are buzzing with festivities as Goddess Durga idols are established at pandals, devotees engage in preparations of a nine-day Hindu festival of ‘Navratri’ and Ravana effigies are being erected in every corner of the country.

While Panchkula will see the world’s tallest Ravana effigy being burnt at 215 feet, Kolkata has created a stunning replica of the Chittor palace where Rana Ratan Singh lived with his wife Padmavati but was ultimately defeated by the Turkish ruler, Alauddin Khilji.
