Mavericks Rank Ninth in National Wrestling Coaches Association Poll
Mankato, Minn. — The Minnesota State wrestling team is ranked ninth in the NCAA Division II Wrestling Coaches Association Top 25 Poll announced today.
A quartet of Maverick individuals
A returning All-American who places second at nationals last year, senior George Farmah (St. Paul, Minn.), is rated #1 at 133. Farmah, who has been rated #1 in all four polls set forth by the NWCA this year, owns a 3-0 record for 2018-19.
Junior Zach Johnston (174) is ranked fourth and stands 7-1 for the year.
Senior Seth Elwood (165) is rated 12th and owns a 9-5 mark this season.
Sophomore Kyle Rathman (149) is rated seventh and has fashioned a 7-1 mark this year.
NCAA Division II Wrestling Coaches Association Rankings
Minnesota State, which stands 3-1 in dual action in 2018-19, hosts #19 Upper Iowa Jan. 17 in its next action.
