Obit: Fan Dies After Vikings 'Allowed 17 Unanswered Points'
PLYMOUTH, MN — After a lifetime of heartache, longtime Minnesota Vikings fan John J. Ford died Monday, immediately after his favorite team crumbled on prime time against the Seattle Seahawks.
John, 86, of Plymouth “passed away surrounded by family on December 2nd after the Vikings allowed 17 unanswered points,” said his obituary, which laments his team’s fate. “He loved golf, a good cigar, WCC, the MN Vikings.”
John lived through four Vikings Super Bowl losses, as well as the 1998, 2000, 2009 and 2017 NFC championship losses.
Thankfully, not everything in John’s life was as frustrating as being a Vikings fan.
“In the mid-1980’s, John started his own company, JFR Marketing,” the obituary continues. “His wife, children and grandchildren filled his life with joy and he touched many people, both professionally and personally.”
