Potential WrestleMania 35 Spoiler, Rumored Extreme Rules Matches
WWE has been announcing the matches for WrestleMania 35 over the past couple of weeks. Fans are certainly excited to see some of the matches on the show, and one of the top matches in this year’s card is a Triple Threat Match between Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, and Ronda Rousey. There are rumors that this could be the first women’s march to ever headline a WrestleMania show, and of course, Rousey’s Raw Women’s Championship will be on the line. Given the reports claiming that Rousey will be going on a hiatus from wrestling after WrestleMania ends, as well as Lynch’s rise in popularity, it seems she is almost guaranteed to drop the title at the event. However, perhaps it’s all just a big red herring.
A new advertisement relating to the post-WrestleMania Superstar Shakeup May have just spoiled the outcome of the anticipated match. Advertisements in Canada for the week of the Superstar Shakeup show that Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch will be challenging Asuka for the SmackDown Women’s Championship. Not only does this listing suggest that Rousey will retain her title at WrestleMania 35, but this could also imply that Asuka will retain her championship in whichever match she ends up taking part in. Of course, the card for these shows could always change between now and its scheduled date of April 16th. If the match does not end up being changed, it is very possible that the outcomes for both women’s title matches at WrestleMania have been spoiled.
There are also some advertisements out there for the WWE pay-per-views set to take place after WrestleMania 35. The CBS Philly 3 affiliate in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania has just posted what are allegedly the top two matches for the Extreme Rules show in July. According to this listing, Roman Reigns will face Baron Corbin in a singles match, and Seth Rollins will wrestle Drew McIntyre during the show. It was not mentioned if Rollins’ match would be for the Universal Championship, which could be a spoiler for his WrestleMania 35 match against Brock Lesnar. Tickets for the event will be going on sale on March 29th, but it is still possible that WWE could make changes to the card and top matches if need be.
