Update on Potential Future TV Network For SmackDown Live

There have been rumors circulating on a potential future television network that will be airing WWE’s SmackDown Live once the current deal expires. According to a recent article by Variety, the leading contenders for the television rights to SmackDown Live are FOX, Facebook and Amazon.
The story posted by Variety follows an article by The Hollywood Reporter that indicates that RAW will be staying with NBC Universal for approximately three times the amount their current deal is worth.
Variety also reports that the WWE Network is another possibility for SmackDown Live, although it is not as likely as the aforementioned FOX, Facebook and Amazon.

WWE has previously stated that they will be announcing their new television deal sometime between now and September. Their current deal with NBC Universal runs through September of 2019.
