NXT has been building towards what looks like an absolutely stellar NXT Takeover show planned for WrestleMania weekend in New Orleans. With an NXT Championship match between Aleister Black and Andrade “Cien” Almas, and with the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament winners challenging for the NXT Tag Team Championships, it was already a can’t-miss show for NXT fans. However, General Manager William Regal announced during the most recent NXT broadcast that he will be making a major announcement next week. Details were scarce, but Regal did promise that this announcement would be one that would change NXT as we know it.

One of the most legendary attractions in the history of professional wrestling will be receiving a documentary based on his life soon on HBO. WWE Hall of Famer Andre the Giant will be the focus of the documentary, and it promises to look into his professional and personal life. HBO has just released a promotional poster for the upcoming special and a start time for the documentary has been provided as well. The brand new special will be airing on HBO on April 10th at 10pm ET. With names like Vince McMahon, Hulk Hogan, Billy Crystal, and Arnold Schwarzenegger set to appear in the special, this could turn out to be a very interesting character study for one of wrestling’s most iconic characters.
