Omega in WWE Soon? Smackdown Star Injured, New Game Show Coming?
Kenny Omega is one of the biggest stars in professional wrestling today, and amazingly, he has been able to do it all without the help of WWE. Just recently, Omega has wrestled in a ton of classic matches over in New Japan Pro Wrestling, and while he will be staying there throughout 2018, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter now reports that Omega could make the jump in 2019. Details on a possible jump still remain scarce, and Omega himself has re-signed with NJPW for the rest of 2018, Meltzer speculates that there may be interest from WWE in acquiring Omega as soon as his current contract expires. We’ll have to wait and see if Omega finally makes it to WWE until at least next year.
There have been quite a number of talents in WWE who have gone down with injuries lately. For example, Jason Jordan is said to be dealing with an immensely serious neck injury, and Paige’s neck and back injuries are reportedly so brutal that WWE doctors have disqualified her from competing in the ring ever again. Unfortunately, it sounds like another star has received an injury, but it is from the Smackdown side of the WWE roster this time. Wrestling Inc. is reporting that female star Tamina Snuka recently underwent surgery for a torn rotator cuff. She competed in the women’s Royal Rumble match with the injury and had the surgery two days later. Her recovery time is unknown, but her injury usually has kept wrestlers out for about 6-8 months.
WWE is always experimenting with different types of programming on the WWE Network. For example, WWE used to air the Edge and Christian comedy show, as well as the adult-animated series Camp WWE, but rumors of a possible new game show being added to the network soon are beginning to circulate. Smackdown’s Xavier Woods recently uploaded a video on his Instagram account showing himself, Kofi Kingston, and Renee Young horsing around on the set of a WWE game show called “Who Knows?” This could suggest that a game show is on the way to the WWE Network very soon. It was rumored last year that WWE shot an episode of a game show for the WWE Network hosted by R-Truth, but the project was very quickly nixed due to budget cuts.
When you let us hang out with @reneeyoungwwe without adult supervision this is what happens….
