AJ Lee’s Book Becoming a TV Series, Roman Update, WWE Being Sold?

AJ Mendez-Brooks (formerly known as AJ Lee in WWE) published her memoir “Crazy Is My Superpower: How I Triumphed by Breaking Bones, Breaking Hearts, and Breaking the Rules” not too long ago, and her story received a ton of attention when it was released. The book is so beloved that EUE/Sokolow Studios (the team behind Genius on National Geographic) and AJ announced today that they are working on adapting the book into a scripted TV series. “I couldn’t be more thrilled to work with this team to turn ‘Crazy is My Super Power’ into a scripted show,” Mendez says. “This is a story about the power of female strength and our incomparable ability to survive, persist and overcome. I knew that I would need partners that connected to that message, and Jeff and Sam’s bold vision was a perfect fit. I can’t wait to get started.” Much like the book, the show will cover her life, career, and battle with mental illness. No word on a release date as of yet.
Roman Reigns is currently the Intercontinental Champion and is essentially the top champion on Raw since Universal Champion Brock Lesnar is usually not present for most Raw shows. It may have seemed strange to see Reigns absent on yesterday’s edition of Raw. Fear not though, because it has been confirmed that Reigns will be present for next week’s Raw on Christmas Day. The news comes just after it was reported that fellow Shield member Dean Ambrose was injured during last night’s edition of Raw. It has also been confirmed by WWE that John Cena will be returning on next week’s edition of Raw as well.
It may be surprising to learn, but it is now being rumored that Vince McMahon is open to selling WWE to any available buyers. It has been reported in the past that McMahon never intended on selling his company ever. On the Wrestling Observer Radio show, Dave Meltzer informed the public that WME-IMG’s $4 billion purchase of UFC last year really opened McMahon’s eyes. Vince’s recent creation of Alpha Entertainment, a company separate from WWE, may also help fuel these rumors. It is being said that Vince McMahon is now open to the idea of selling the company now more than ever before. No records of potential buyers have been made public as of now.
