Did Vince Know About Omega/ Jericho? Bludgeon Brothers, Paige

Chris Jericho shocked the wrestling world when he announced that he would be facing Kenny Omega at Wrestle Kingdom 12 for New Japan Pro Wrestling in January. There has been a ton of speculation regarding what this means for Jericho’s WWE status. Luckily, Jericho addressed some of the rumors on the latest edition of Jim Ross’ Ross Report podcast. When asked whether or not Vince McMahon knew that he would be wrestling in Japan in January, Jericho claimed that he has a great relationship with Vince and would never try to harm it. While he never said that he told Vince about the match beforehand, he did indicate that he was aware of the match and alright with Jericho participating in it. “You know how smart I am throughout my career, and you know the relationship I have with Vince, and I would never jeopardize that, or give him any nasty surprises. So, I’ll just leave it at that.” Jericho stated.
Paige has been rumored to return to WWE for a while now after being inactive for over a year. She had been scheduled to be named as the final participant for the Raw women’s team at Survivor Series, but those plans were changed (allegedly after Paige uploaded photos of herself backstage at Raw, thus spoiling the surprise). WWE.com recently posted an article claiming that a decision as to who will receive the final spot on the Smackdown women’s team will be made at Survivor Series. Since Natalya lost the title recently, it does not seem likely that she would be inserted into that spot, and Nikki Bella is still busy with outside projects. The article now has some fans speculating that Paige will take the final spot during the Survivor Series pay-per-view this Sunday.
It has been a while since Luke Harper and Erick Rowan have been featured on television. The two have worked with each other and against each other so often, but WWE has been teasing that the two will redebut as the “Bludgeon Brothers” on Smackdown soon. The two were testing the gimmick out on live events, but they did appear as their former Wyatt Family personas on a live event recently. This led some to speculate that the gimmick had perhaps been scrapped by WWE. That does not appear to be the case as another vignette for the team’s new gimmick recently aired on Smackdown. It was revealed that the Bludgeon Brothers will appear on Smackdown next week.
