GFW Star Marrying MYC Competitor, PROGRESS Show, Jinder/UFC News

Fresh off of the news of Jack Gallagher marrying wrestler Clara Sinclare, it appears that fellow UK wrestler Rockstar Spud is also set to tie the knot with another wrestler soon. Squared Circle Sirens reported that the GFW star and Mae Young Classic competitor Renee Michelle are now engaged to be married. While neither have spoken about the matter publicly, they apparently announced their engagement to friends on Facebook. The couple have apparently been dating for some time now, but no date has been made official for their wedding as of yet. Renee Michelle is a top prospect on the independent circuit right now. She was eliminated from the Mae Young Classic tournament by Candice LeRae, who herself is married to current NXT star Johnny Gargano.
It’s no secret that the United Kingdom is currently experiencing a huge boom in terms of professional wrestling business. Promotions such as ICW and PROGRESS have managed to impress audiences, and even WWE is trying to get in on the action with their attempts to expand into the nation. PROGRESS just recently announced that they are going to be holding a huge show on September 30th, 2018 at the SSE Arena in Wembley. This is no small arena that they are utilizing for the show, the building holds an estimated 12,500, which would definitely make booking the arena for a show one of the most guttiest moves that PROGRESS (or any other independent promotion) has taken in a while.
A while back, it was announced that WWE Champion Jinder Mahal was set to walk down to the octagon with Arjan Bhullar. The fellow-Punjabi performer announced that Jinder would be accompanying him down during his fight at the UFC 215 pay-per-view, however, “The Maharaja” was nowhere to be seen at the event. MMA journalist Ariel Helwani has now reported that Jinder Mahal could not attend the fight because he is currently unable to leave Florida due to Hurricane Irma. Numerous WWE talents reside in Florida, and multiple NXT shows have been cancelled due to the devastating storm, so it certainly seems possible that Jinder was not able to arrive at the show in time.

WWE champ Jinder Mahal did not in fact walk Arjan Bhullar to the cage tonight because he’s stuck in Florida due to Hurricane Irma, I’m told.
