The Authority, Seth Rollins & A Pissed Off Randy Orton Kick Off RAW
The post-WWE Hell In A Cell edition of RAW opens up with an elaborate highlight video package running down the key parts of last night’s pay-per-view.
From there, we shoot live into the arena in San Antonio, Texas where we hear Michael Cole welcoming us to RAW while “King of Kings” plays in the background. We then see Triple H, Stephanie McMahon and Kane — The Authority — in the ring.
The music cuts off and Stephanie welcomes us to Monday Night RAW. Steph says we got our money’s worth if we watched on the WWE Network — for only $9.99 — just off the two HIAC matches alone. HHH says it could be said it’s a bittersweet night as Randy Orton lost. He then puts over the man who is becoming “the new standard-barrer” in the WWE, Mr. Money In The Bank Seth Rollins.
Rollins’ music hits and out he walks with a big smile on his face and Joey Mercury and Jamie Noble walking behind him.
JBL puts over Rollins as the “undisputed future of the WWE” on commentary. When his music cuts off, Steph asks the fans to give it up one more time for Seth Rollins. The fans boo and chant “you sold out.” Seth opens up by saying, “Man, you guys are the best. Thank you so much!”
Rollins continues by saying finally “The Lunatic Fringe” Dean Ambrose is out of his hair once and for all. He says he proved last night once and for all that intellect conquers every single time over a mad man who should be institutionalized. Rollins says now that he’s done with Ambrose, he’s moving on to John Cena.
The fans cut him off with loud “let’s go Cena” and “Cena sucks” dueling chants. He says “blah blah blah blah.” He does Cena’s hand-waiving gesture and says later tonight he’s gonna “see” John Cena. He says he’s also gonna leave Cena in a pool of his own blood, laying in his own failure like he did to Ambrose last night.
His music hits again, he poses with The Authority, but before they can leave, Randy Orton’s theme hits. “The Viper” makes his way to the ring, walking fast with a purpose. Orton gets on the mic and is all worked up. He’s asking why everyone is saying Rollins is the future. Why has he heard twice tonight already that Cena beat him. He brings up Rollins curb-stomping him last Monday night and says he’s so pissed that he might check himself into anger management, which he says he legitimately did in 2006.
“The Viper” says he promised himself last night that if The Authority didn’t handle Rollins, than he was going to. He drops the mic and charges Rollins, blasting him with punches. Eventually, The Authority break them up. HHH gets in Orton’s face and tells him we’re not doing this tonight. He calms his voice and tells Orton to calm down. He tells Orton to relax and take the night off. He says when the time is right, they’ll deal with this, but not tonight. As HHH keeps talking, Orton simply pushes past him and nails Rollins with an RKO out of nowhere. He takes his shirt off and walks away as HHH looks pissed.
Orton’s music cuts off and a groggy, dizzy Rollins is helped to his feet. He takes a moment to clear the cobwebs and then he stumbles out of the ring. “King of Kings” plays as The Authority leaves together while we watch replays of Orton’s sudden RKO on Rollins moments ago. On that note, we head to a commercial break.
WWE Tag-Team Championship
– Goldust & Stardust (c) vs. Big Show & Mark Henry
When we return from commercial, Goldust and Stardust are in the middle of their ring entrance. From there, the team of Big Show and Mark Henry make their way to the ring. WWE Tag-Team Championship action is our first match on this week’s RAW.
As they make their way to the ring we see highlights of a backstage segment from the RAW pre-show with Show and Henry. Show talks about how he had Rusev beat until Henry came out. Henry says he just came to celebrate with him. He tells Show he got them a tag-title match tonight.
The bell rings and here we go. Goldust and Henry start things off. Henry clotheslines Goldust down and headbutts him in the corner. He throws him across the ring so Goldust tags Stardust in. Stardust pauses a bit but eventually comes in. Stardust tries using his quickness but Henry gets him in a corner and beats on him. He tags Show in.
Show picks up where Henry left off. He does the “shhh” thing to the fans and chops the hell out of him. The fans ask for another, so he obliges. He whips him into the corner hard and tags Henry back in.
The fans chant “sexual chocolate” at Henry as he continues the beat down on Stardust. Stardust is trying to leap for the tag over and over again but Henry is holding his foot so he ain’t moving anywhere. Show tags himself in. He beats up on Stardust, but Henry slaps him on the back and yells at Show for tagging himself in. Show and Henry are face-to-face arguing as we head to a mid-match commercial.
When we return from commercial, we see Goldust working over Show on the mat in the middle of the ring. We see highlights of Show and Henry arguing from before the break. Back live, Goldust is firing away at Show with punches until Show slams him down. He puts the calf-crusher on Goldust, so Stardust jumps in and breaks it up. Show rolls over and tags in Henry.
Henry comes in and clotheslines Stardust and headbutts him. Stardust takes out the knee of Henry from behind and tags in Goldust. Goldust comes in and beats up on Henry for a bit and tags Stardust back in. Stardust goes back to work on the knee as Show leads the fans in another “sexual chocolate” chant.
Stardust is beating up on Henry, throwing dropkicks at him until he’s knocked backwards into his own corner. Show tags himself in again, and it’s a self-hot tag as he’s all over the place taking out everyone in sight. He takes out Stardust with a KO punch and then throws Goldust to the floor. Show goes for the pin but Henry comes in the ring. He tells Show to tag him because he was already in before Show tagged himself in.
The two argue a bit until Henry picks Show up out of nowhere and nails him with the World’s Strongest Slam. He puts Stardust over Show and the ref counts 1-2-3.
Winners and STILL WWE Tag-Team Champions: Goldust & Stardust
After The Match
After the match, Henry stays in the ring and watches the Dust Brothers leave. He turns his attention to Show, who is slowly getting back to his feet. He hits him with another World’s Strongest Slam and says “what’s your problem, man?!” He yells, “chop me again! nobody chops me! don’t nobody hit me!” The fans chant “you suck” as Henry watches Show crawl up the ropes. Now some heel fans are chanting “one more time.” Henry waits for Show to turn around and indeed gives him a third World’s Strongest Slam. And then splashes him for good measure. He finally walks off as fans boo. We head to a commercial.
