DRAGO vs. AERO STAR

The two locked up to get things started and a back and forth fight took them to the apron where Aero connected with a big kick, then came off the top rope with a beautiful corkscrew crossbody for two. He rushed the corner and ran into a superkick, as Drago unleashed a flurry of kicks to the chest before launches over the ropes with an equally beautiful twisting tope con hilo, rolling his opponent back into the ring for another two-count. Aero fought back and won a trade on the apron, sending Drago to the floor again and hitting the springboard sending himself flying like a cannonball to take them both out. Callis informs us that the move is called La Bambito, apparently.

They slowly rolled back into the ring to answer the referee’s ten-count as a loud “LUCHA” chant broke out from the crowd. Drago started throwing kicks and Star responded with forearm strikes and the two went back and forth, trading blows until they could barely stand. The former was rocked with a dropkick and flew the ropes, once again heading back to the outside, and Aero found his second win to connect with a big suicide dive around the 10-minute mark. Drago is not done yet though, as he fired up and started throwing more kicks and more strikes, then connected with a thudding powerbomb.

He signaled for the finish but went to the well too many times with the powerbombs and Aero Star caught him with a springboard cutter out of nowhere. He went to the apron looking for a springboard Codebreaker but botched the move and landed on his feet. He hit another kick then went to the apron again, this time connecting with the move to pick up the victory.

Winner: Aero Star
