More Details On Brock Lesnar’s UFC Future; Deal Reportedly Being Finalized, When He Could Return, WWE Status

As noted, UFC President Dana White revealed on FOX Sports’ “UFC Tonight” that Brock Lesnar will be returning to UFC. White added he does not know when Lesnar will return to The Octagon, but he did say The Beast will be back.

Since the news broke regarding Lesnar’s UFC future, speculation has been that Dana White’s comments could merely have been “promoter talk”, with White stirring the pot and potentially drumming up interest as Lesnar’s WWE deal expires after WrestleMania 34.

However, according to MMA Fighting’s Ariel Helwani, “UFC is confident Lesnar will be back after his WWE duties are wrapped up on Sunday. A deal is in place. Key now is to finalize it.”

With regards to when Lesnar could return to UFC, he will first have to serve the remainder of his MMA suspension related to his USADA drug testing failures following UFC 200.

It’s also worth noting that back in October of 2017, we reported, via The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, that UFC President Dana White was under the impression that Brock Lesnar was tied up with WWE until August of this year. White also felt at the time that WWE would not allow Brock Lesnar to crossover to UFC again like they did with Lesnar’s bout at UFC 200.

“Lesnar was still under contract with WWE till next August,” White revealed on the Dan LeBatard show back in October. “Who knows what would have happened. I don’t count my chickens anymore, I’ll tell you that…You saw what happened last time he was under contract [with WWE]and it doesn’t look good for anybody.”

According to multiple sources, this isn’t promoter talk from White. UFC is confident Lesnar will be back after his WWE duties are wrapped up on Sunday. A deal is in place. Key now is to finalize it. https://t.co/ttaxduf15J
