Alberto El Patron Misses Another WrestleMania Weekend Appearance; Backstage Talk on His Future w/ IMPACT

As previously reported, Alberto el Patron did not appear at last night’s highly anticipated IMPACT vs. Lucha Underground event, where he was advertised to compete in a main event tag team match. It’s believed that the former world champion did inform management at the last minute, claiming that he was sick, but that has been seriously questioned as Patron appeared perfectly fine during an IMPACT Redemption press conference just hours before the show began.

PWInsider.com is now reporting that Patron also missed his appearance at WrestleCon today, where he was supposed to be representing the company. It’s being talked about among wrestlers backstage that his future with the company is “up in the air”.

Some have asked why IMPACT has not released the former WWE Champion if he did in fact no-show the events, or at least put out a statement to the public. One of the problem right now is he’s set to challenge Austin Aries for the world title later this month at the IMPACT Redemption pay-per-view, but all the television leading up to the show has already been recorded.
