Maria Regina's Marching Band To Perform In NYC's St. Patrick's Parade
HARTSDALE, NY — Maria Regina High School’s first-ever marching band will again be the only all-girl ensemble to participate in the 2023 New York City St. Patrick’s Day Parade Friday.
This will be a repeat appearance because the band performed in last year’s procession.
The musicians of the all-girls Catholic high school will be joining thousands of marchers and bands from throughout the New York metro area and pass Cardinal Timothy Dolan, Archbishop of New York, who will review the processions from the steps of St. Patrick’s Cathedral on Fifth Avenue during the parade.

The 12 Maria Regina musicians, plus two banner carriers, will be cheered on by an estimated 2 million spectators, as well as those watching the parade on television.
Band Captain Shaiyanne Noisette, class of 2024, said she and the other students are honored to participate again in New York City’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

“Being able to spread our passion and love for music in one of the biggest parades of the year to thousands of people, especially young women like us, makes every minute of practice and preparation worth it,” she told Patch.
“Sharing this mission and message fills me with limitless pride,” Noisette said.
Maria Regina’s band is not just waiting around for the big event.
They performed Saturday in White Plains and Sunday in Throggs Neck and Eastchester. Plus, the band will be performing next Saturday in Yonkers.
The band will conclude its very busy schedule by marching for the first time in the Sound Shore St. Patrick’s Day Parade next Sunday along Mamaroneck Avenue.
