WWE Raw viewership down, 18-49 demo rating rises

Raw ratings last night were a mixed bag, in the sense the total viewers was the lowest number since the end of football season but the 18-49 and 18-34 demo ratings beat last week's episode that included both John Cena and Logan Paul.

The show did 1.71 million viewers over the three-hour average with a 0.53 rating in 18-49 and a 0.35 in 18-34.

Raw was second on cable behind the Phoenix Suns vs. Golden State Warriors NBA game that did 1.88 million viewers and a 0.59 in 18-49, breaking a first place streak for Raw that dates back almost two months. The Warriors game went against hour three. ESPN also aired the Dallas Mavericks vs. Memphis Grizzlies against the first two hours of Raw and Raw beat that game which did 1.22 million viewers and a 0.38 demo rating. FS1 did 721,000 viewers and a 0.27 for USA vs. Canada in the World Baseball Classic against hour three and 394,000 viewers and a 0.14 for Puerto Rico vs. Israel against the first two hours.

Raw beat everything on network TV head-to-head in 18-49 except The Voice on NBC against the first two hours of Raw, although Raw was behind The Bachelor on ABC in 18-34.

Raw was tied with Below Deck for first in women 18-49, was second to the late NBA game in men 18-49, second to the late NBA game in 18-34, tied with the late NBA game for first in women 12-34, and was second to the NBA game in men 12-34. Raw was 10th on cable for total viewers behind the NBA game and eight news shows.

It was down seven percent in viewers from last week's show, but up two percent in 18-49 and up six percent in 18-34.

From one year ago, Raw was up 0.3 percent in viewers, but up 10 percent in 18-49 and 30 percent in 18-34, so Raw is drawing a considerably younger audience than at the same time last year. Factoring in loss of cable homes it would actually be up six percent in viewers, up 17 percent in 18-49, and up 37 percent in 18-34, so those are still significant gains from the same week last year.

With the main event built around Kevin Owens vs. Solo Sikoa in a street fight, the first-to-third hour drops were normal. Women 18-49 were down 11 percent, men 18-49 were up two percent (which is unusual), women 12-34 were down 14 percent, men 12-34 were down eight percent, and people over 50 were down 16 percent.
