Photos: Joliet's Light Up The Holidays Parade A Huge Success

JOLIET, IL — Thousands of families braved 30-degree temperatures as they lined downtown Joliet’s North Chicago Street for Friday night’s 25th annual Light Up the Holidays parade in downtown Joliet. The event began with new Joliet Mayor Terry D’Arcy welcoming everyone and the always popular Christmas tree-lighting ceremony, followed by several fireworks.

Then came the 90-minute parade, as Joliet Patch Editor John Ferak was on hand to film the entire parade in real time, as a Joliet Patch Facebook Live video.
