Homeless Pedestrian Struck, Killed In Santa Monica
SANTA MONICA, CA — A homeless woman was struck by a car and killed in Santa Monica over the weekend, police said.
According to the Santa Monica Police Department, officers responded to the collision at about 1:50 a.m. in the 2900 block of Lincoln Boulevard.
Preliminary investigation results suggest that a car was traveling southbound on Lincoln Boulevard when it hit the woman who was in the roadway pushing a cart, SMPD said. The driver of the car remained on the scene and is cooperating with the investigation, police said.

Impaired or distracted driving don’t appear to be factors in the crash, police said.
The woman’s identity is unknown, but the coroner said she appeared to be in her 50s.
