Officers learned that during an argument, Cruz kicked in a door to a bedroom and pulled the woman from the bed by her hair. The victim tried to contact 911 and Cruz threw her phone across the room. It is believed Cruz punched the victim an additional time in the body. Cruz was present in the home and was placed into custody without incident.
