Boston Common Tree Lighting, Dave Chappelle: 8 MA Events This Week
MASSACHUSETTS — Are you saving your nights outside of the house for the weekend? In Massachusetts, that can often mean missing out on a bevy of great concerts, art exhibits and other events across the state.

Also this week, the Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport and Alamo Drafthouse have teamed up for a special activation ahead of an early screening for the new “Wicked” movie.
Omni will set its lobby stage for a performance by students from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee, who will showcase songs from the highly anticipated movie.

Omni and Alamo are also teaming up for giveaways, awarding a special ticket for five guests who show up to the 6:30 p.m. performance at the hotel to the 7:30 p.m. screening of the movie.
Officials tell Patch that other giveaways will be available via the social media channels of the Omni and Alamo Drafthouse this week.
Plus, with Thanksgiving closing in, now’s the time to bone up on your pie making skills, and Northern Spy in Canton has an opportunity to do so.

On Monday, Northern Spy’s pastry chef, Marissa Rossi, will host an exclusive Thanksgiving apple pie making class. Can’t make it this week, Northern Spy will host a holiday cookie class in December.
