WWE NXT ratings up despite NBA and NHL playoff competition

Tuesday night's episode of WWE NXT averaged 565,000 viewers on the USA Network, up seven percent from the previous week. It's the highest audience total for NXT since March 28.

In the 18-49 demo, NXT finished 17th on the cable charts with a 0.14 rating. That's up 7.7 percent from last week and is also the show's best rating since March 28.

NXT aired head-to-head with the NBA playoffs on TNT and the NHL playoffs on both TBS and ESPN. Programming related to the NBA and NHL took up seven of the top 10 spots on the cable charts. NXT finished ninth among non-sports programming.

NXT's ratings were up from last week in most demos. But, as expected with the sports competition, it was down with young men. The show had a 21.4 percent drop with males 12-34 and an 11.1 percent drop with men 18-49. It had a corresponding 50 percent increase with females 12-34 and 40 percent increase with women 18-49.

As compared to the same week in 2022, NXT's overall audience was down 0.7 percent but its 18-49 rating was up 16.7 percent.
