Tolls On NJ Turnpike, Garden State Parkway Increase Friday
NEW JERSEY — Motorists can now expect to pay more to drive on the New Jersey Turnpike and Garden State Parkway after a 3 percent toll hike went into effect Friday.
The increase took effect at midnight, the New Jersey Turnpike Authority confirmed on its website, which means commuters paid the higher tolls for the first time on their way to work on Friday.
The toll increase was part of the $2.62 billion 2024 budget approved by the New Jersey Turnpike Authority in January. Gov. Phil Murphy approved the budget on Jan. 30 after vetoing a nearly identical version last year.
