Bridgewater Local's New Craft Brewery Sets Opening Date

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Long-time Bridgewater native and beer enthusiast Robert D’Angelo has announced an opening date for his first craft brewery called Esker Hart Artisan Ales.

D’Angelo and his wife Brielle will be opening the doors to their tasting room on Saturday, May 4 at 20 Main St. in High Bridge (Hunterdon County).

“Words cannot explain how excited, nervous, and grateful we are to begin this amazing journey and simply cannot thank all of you enough for helping us get to this point,” said the D’Angelos.

While the pair are confident in their opening date they noted May 4 is pending any unforeseen circumstances.

More details such as tap lists, hours, merch, and more will be announced closer to opening.

He was first introduced to brewing in 2014. It began as a hobby before D’Angelo was accepted into Niagra College Canada where he received a degree in Brewery Management and Operations.

He then worked at Kane Brewing Company before he decided to open his first brewery Esker Hart, which will focus on modern and classic beer styles.
