T/E Egg Drop Team Awaiting Guinness World Record Verification
TREDYFFRIN-EASTTOWN, PA — The T/E Egg Drop Team could have the new Guinness World Record holders for the Greatest Height to Drop a Protected Egg Without Breaking. They only need verification from Guinness itself.
On Sunday, Aug. 18, the team dropped their egg at the American Helicopter Museum & Education Center in West Chester.
According to the team’s advisor, Conestoga High School teacher Derrick Wood, they were successful in the drop.

The device made by Matthew Ma, Charlie Gawthrop, Jeffrey Wang, Breckin Shefflerwood kept an egg safe from a whopping 83 feet.
That height trounces the previous Guinness Word Record of 54.13 feet, which was also set by the T/E Egg Drop Team in June 2022.

Now, they await verification from Guinness to affirm their new record.
Wood said verification is expected in the next few weeks.
Ma, Gawthrop, and Wang are rising seniors at Conestoga High School, and Shefflerwood a new member on the team, and is a student at Valley Forge Middle School.
Wood entered his 21st year at Conestoga High School last week.
