Willow Nightingale pulled from AEW Collision due to injury
Willow Nightingale is out of Saturday’s Collision event.
Tony Khan announced on Twitter Saturday afternoon that Nightingale would be out of the show due to “injuries suffered this week in Japan”. Her Owen Hart Foundation tournament semifinal match against Athena has instead been moved to next Friday’s AEW Rampage.
“Due to injuries suffered this week in Japan, @willowwrestles isn't cleared to compete tonight on #AEWCollision in the Owen Hart Foundation Women's Tournament semifinal,” Khan wrote. “This semifinal match will be rescheduled to Friday Night #AEWRampage to give her an opportunity to get cleared.”
The finals of the tournament are scheduled to take place on the July 15 edition of Collision, which will take place at the Saddledome in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
Nightingale took part in New Japan Strong’s Independence Day events at Korakuen Hall on July 4 and 5. On the first night, she teamed with Momo Kohgo to defeat Giulia and Thekla. On the second night, she lost the New Japan Strong Women’s title to Giulia.
