Liverpool transfer news: Adam Lallana will not leave Anfield on loan this month

Liverpool have said midfielder Adam Lallana will not leave Anfield on loan this month.

A series of injuries have limited his game time in recent months and he has made just eight appearances this season as he recovers from a groin strain.

Fenerbahce are among the clubs keen on signing the England international, but according to Sky Sports, Jurgen Klopp is keen on the 30-year-old reintegrating into the first-team in the coming months as the club push for the Premier League title.

A 2-1 loss at Manchester City in midweek reduced their lead at the top to just four points and their next league match is away to Brighton on January 12.

Lallana signed for Liverpool from Southampton for £25million upon returning from the 2014 World Cup, under then manager Brendan Rodgers and has since made 148 appearances and scored 21 times.

On Friday, Liverpool loaned Nathaniel Clyne and sold striker Dominic Solanke for £19m – both to Bournemouth – meaning the chances of another first-team squad man moving on look even more unlikely.
