Delhi Vows To Ensure Safety For Sanitation Workers With Special Kits To Prevent Sewer Deaths

The sight of safai karamcharis (sanitation workers) cleaning the sewers is not at all pleasing to our naked eyes. Its difficult to imagine what they go through when they step into these sewers sans any protective gears. Inhaling all those toxic gases with no safety kits, these workers put their life in their line of duty. Many states are trying to ensure these safai karamcharis’ safety and Delhi is finally leading with example.
