A Painting Found In UK After It Went Missing 200 Years Ago, Has been Sold For £ 375,000

A painting by John Constable that was lost for almost 200 years, recently sold for Euro 3,75,000, the Daily Mail reported. The old painting was drawn near 1821-22 and Constable had spent two summers at a house rented in J Hampstead.

The painting was discovered during a house valuation.

“The 7in by 5.5in oil on millboard sketch is called ‘View towards the back of a Terrace of Houses, with elder tree’ and has the initials JC inscribed on it,” the report stated.
