All Star Game with Putin

President of Russia Vladimir Putin has visited volleyball All Star Game in Moscow. "This was a pleasent surprise", said captain of Russian national team V. Khamuttskikh

Russian national team won All Star Game 3:0 (25:17, 25:19, 25:23). After the match Vadim Khamuttskikh said: "On such things (as the arrival of the President) you are not usually warned in advance. Presence of Presiden Putin has been a pleasant surprise. But our game was not affected, because we played quite well. If teams play only when appears somebody important – it is a bad team. This match can be regarded as the opening of the Olympic season. The audience came to watch good game, therefore we tried to maintain sportive spirit. Good that the match was over quickly, and we did not have to spend much energy."

He denied rumours that he will conclude his career after 2008 Olympics in Beijing. "I did not say that, in the coming five years I do not plan to quit my career", said 38 years old Khamuttskikh. "If I  play in the next Olympics – I do not know. This depends not only and not so much from me. But from my side to make this I will do my best."
