Raw Being Rewritten, Why Dillinger Left, Dreamer Teases a Change

Although the post-WrestleMania edition of Raw is typically hyped up as the biggest Raw show of the year, tonight’s edition of the show could manage to top last week’s episode. Today’s Raw show will mark part one of WWE’s annual Superstar Shakeup. This means that certain members from the SmackDown brand will be moving over to Raw tonight. However, Post Wrestling’s John Pollock reports that the episode of currently being rewritten. The reason why the show is being altered is because of travel issues that some of the talent and personnel have been experiencing on their way to the venue for Raw tonight in Montreal. It should be interesting to see if these changes will shape the Raw brand over the next year.

Earlier this year, Tye Dillinger confirmed that he had asked for his release from WWE. The company eventually granted him his release, and he is currently waiting out the remainder of his 90-day no-compete clause with the company. During an interview on Lilian Garcia’s “Chasing Glory” podcast, Dillinger’s fiancee, SmackDown star Peyton Royce explained what led to his decision to quit WWE. The IIconics member said that Dillinger wants to continue wrestling and he felt like he had more opportunities for himself away from WWE. Royce said that she is happy for Dillinger and is supporting him as he takes the next step in his wrestling career. The full podcast featuring The IIconics has been posted down below:

“He wants to wrestle. He loves wrestling, and that’s what he wants to do. So he’s going to make himself happy and he’s going to do that.” Royce said.

Tommy Dreamer is a legendary hardcore wrestler with years of experience in the wrestling business. It appears that he may be getting ready to share his knowledge as part of a major promotion in the near future. Dreamer took to Twitter this week to announce that he will be signing with a certain promotion later this week, but he did not state who he will be signing with. Dreamer has spent a ton of time working behind the scenes with Impact Wrestling lately, but he also has experience working for WWE, and All Elite Wrestling may also be interested in bringing Dreamer on board. Hopefully, some more news on which promotion Dreamer has decided to join will come out at some point later on in the week.
