News on Attendance & Swerve at WWE SSD, Riott Squad Get Tattoos

WWE’s Super Show-Down event is only hours away from taking place. The show airs at around 5am ET in the United States, but it will be hosted in the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Melbourne, Australia later today. The massive stadium can seat over 100,000 fans, but what is the attendance figure that WWE is hoping to attract for the event? While speaking with Melbourne’s Herald Sun prior to the event, Triple H stated that Super Show-Down is expected to be performed in front over about “over 65,000” spectators. Triple H will headline the event in a match against The Undertaker in what is being billed as their final encounter. The attendance figure is expected to be revealed by WWE during the show.

Dropped by the @MCG this afternoon on the way to speak at Bastion Collective in Melbourne. This city is abuzz about #WWESSD. Spoke with @theheraldsun about what it’ll feel like with over 65,000 fans in the stadium … tomorrow night is gonna be LOUD. pic.twitter.com/XsDSfSszQJ

The Shield will be taking on the team of Drew McIntyre, Dolph Ziggler, and Braun Strowman in a six-man tag team match at Super Show-Down later today. Fans of the six-man tag team matches that The Shield have become known for over the years have been looking forward to this bout for a while, but as seen on Raw recently, the opposing trio has been doing all that they can to convince Dean Ambrose to turn on his Shield brothers. Interestingly, Cageside Seats now reports that there may be a swerve or some sort of unique twist that takes place during the match at Super Show-Down. While it is possible that this could mean a different outcome, it is also entirely plausible that The Shield could come to an end for a second time later today.

Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan, and Sarah Logan were called up to WWE’s main roster last year, and they currently compete on the Raw brand together as a stable called The Riott Squad. The three of them will be involved in what is perhaps the biggest match in each of their careers within the next few hours as they will be facing The Bella Twins and Ronda Rousey in a six-woman tag team match at Super Show-Down in Melbourne, Australia. In celebration of the huge match, all three Riott Squad members have received identical tattoos honoring the date “11-21-17,” which reflects their main roster WWE debuts on SmackDown on November 21st of last year. Liv Morgan revealed that she was cleared to compete at Super Show-Down and is no longer injured earlier this week, so get ready to see the entire Riott Squad back in action soon.
