WrestleMania Battle Royal Staying as Is, Pyro at ‘All In’, Rusev

At WrestleMania this year, WWE originally had plans to present a women’s battle royal named after WWE Hall of Famer The Fabulous Moolah. Fans and advertisers urged WWE to remove Moolah’s name from the match given her alleged past. As of right now, the name of the match is simply “The WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal.” While speaking with Stephanie McMahon at the WrestleMania 35 press conference, PWInsider learned that there are no plans to dedicate the match to another famous female wrestler of the past. McMahon once again praised the WWE fans for voicing their displeasure with the upcoming match paying tribute to The Fabulous Moolah.
Cody Rhodes and The Young Bucks could be on the verge of making history with their self-funded ‘All In’ show coming later on this year. The independently-funded wrestling event will see The Bullet Club members attempt to draw in over 10,000 attendees, and it will be taking place in the Sears Center Arena in Chicago, Illinois on September 1st. In addition to the great amount of talent coming to the show, some unique theatrics could be on the way as well. For instance, Rhodes recently posted a message on Twitter hinting that the All In budget included funds for pyro. It will be interesting to see what the team will be able to put together when All In finally takes place later this year.

You better Slick Nick, because today’s “All In” production call also included the revised budget…and I might have hyperventilated…#Pyro #wtf https://t.co/e9ID7oUkw0

Rusev has been a consistent highlight on Smackdown for a number of weeks now, but “The Bulgarian Brute” does not seem to have a clear path to WrestleMania at the moment. Rusev recently decided to challenge any willing celebrity to a match at the event on Twitter, which prompted The Rock to suggest comedian and actor Kevin Hart as a possible choice. While Stephen Amell has since shot down the idea of facing Rusev at WrestleMania, several other celebrities appear to be up for the challenge. For instance, Home Alone star Macaulay Culkin is one celebrity who is eager to take on Rusev at the “Grandest Stage of Them All.” As of right now, no WrestleMania match has been made official for Rusev.
